Mission

The mission of the library media program at North Corbin Junior High School is to promote and incorporate a positive "print rich" and "technology rich" environment. By offering a large assortment of books, references, and hands-on creative activities, teachers and administrators will empower students to become effective users of information and to foster a love for reading.

Hours

The library is open from 7:00 a.m. until 2:25 p.m. on regular school days. Students may come before school and with a teacher's permission at any time during the school day.

Circulation Rules/Procedures

  • Library books may be checked out for two weeks.

  • Books may be renewed at anytime for an additional two weeks.

  • Students are responsible for the cost of lost and damaged books.

  • Return books anytime by placing them on the circulation desk.

Accelerated Reader - AR

Accelerated Reader (AR) is a program constructed of tests students take after they have read a book. Certain books are labeled with green AR stickers. The link below sends you to the website that allows you to search for AR quizzes. Please note that just because a book is AR does not mean the book is in our library. Students are encouraged to check-out books from the public library also.
